Online Branding: The $100,000 Test

A recent article published by eMarketer notes the tactics marketers would try if they had $100,000 to experiment.

Mobile and video led the pack with 9.6 percent of respondents wanting to test it out. RSS and blogs followed with 7.6 and 6.5 percent respectively. Rounding up the remainder of responses were:

- podcasting – 5.7%
- search – 3.4%
- e-mail outsourcing – 3.1%
- content – 2.3%
- rich media – 2.3%
- behavorial – 1.9%

I've been experimenting with podcasting at my blog - both audio and video - and it certainly has not cost me anywhere near $100k.

I'd be interested to hear from other marketers who are testing these in their strategies.

Response for me so far has been small but overwhelmingly positive to the point where I plan on making much more content available using podcasts.
